Approve Agreement between Transportation Cabinet and FPB for the Relocation of Water Facilities along U.S. 421 (Leestown) ($1,940,808.32):

Staff recommends that the Board approve an Agreement between the Transportation Cabinet and FPB for the relocation of water facilities along U.S. 421 (Leestown). The total cost of this relocation is $1,940,808.32 of which the State will reimburse FPB for $1,851,660.97 (95.4%). FPB will absorb a betterment cost of approximately $89,147.35 (4.6%) due to up-grading line sizes where appropriate.

The Water Department will take bids for certain construction activities (rock blasting, bores, line stops, etc.) that we are not able to complete due to equipment and staffing limitations.

The Staff Attorney, along with the Water Engineering Staff, has reviewed the Agreement and it meets with their approval.
