Informational Item – Digital Video Recorder (DVR):

Before the next Board Meeting, Staff expects to have the DVR Service available. The $10 per month rate was established in 2004 with the additional requirement that the customer also be a digital cable subscriber. Staff seeks permission from the Board to lower this monthly rate to $5 per month for customers that also subscribe to digital cable and to further reduce the rate to $0 for customers that subscribe to any HD programming. In the future, Staff will seek to establish a rate for DVR for customers that only subscribe to basic cable. If approved, the new rates would begin at the time the service is launched.
