Approve (1) Renewal of A & E and The History Channel on Basic Cable and (2) Renewal of Biography Channel and History Channel International on Digital Cable:

The Cable Advisory Committee and Staff recommend that this standard NCTC agreement for these A&E Television Networks be approved. The term of the agreement runs through December 31, 2012. A&E and The History Channel are consistently rated as some of the more popular channels on basic cable each year. Likewise, Biography Channel and History Channel International have been part of our digital lineup since we launched the service six years ago.

The Staff Attorney has reviewed the agreement and it meets with his approval.
