Ratify Renewal of Fox News on Basic Cable:

The Cable Advisory Committee and Staff recommend the ratification of the Fox News Agreement for the renewal of the service on basic cable. This standard National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) agreement was a term through December 31, 2011. While the increase in fees is significant, they are well below the anticipated increase that Staff had planned for in the current budget.

The Staff Attorney has reviewed the agreement and it meets with his approval. The Chairman was aware that the last day to participate in this agreement was January 17, 2007. Staff was given approval to sign the agreement and seek ratification by the board at its next regular meeting.
