Informational Item Departmental Reports:
For the Month of May, we had the following Electric, Water and Cable Outages.
Electric - There were 65 Electric Outages during the Month of May.
Water - There was 1 Water Outage and 1 Scheduled Outage due to maintenance during the Month of May.
Cable/Telecommunications - There were 12 Cable/Telecommunications Outages during the Month of May.
Water Treatment Plant - During the month of May, the Water Treatment Plant withdrew approximately 260 million gallons of raw water with an average daily withdrawal rate of 8.40 million gallons. During this same time frame last year, this system averaged 8.30 million gallons. The maximum daily demand occurred on April 24th with 10.50 mgd being produced on this date. Compliance with all Federal and State Water Quality Standards were maintained.
Safety - There were 2 OSHA Recordable Accidents during the month of May.
- A Cable Employee was bitten on the thigh by a dog. The employee received minor medical attention.
- An Electric Employee received medical treatment due to an allergic reaction to poison ivy.
There were 0 vehicle accidents during the Month of May.
Customer Service - During the Month of May, approximately 15,898 incoming calls were received on our main number 352-4372. This was 4,451 fewer calls received than last month which had 20 days of call reporting compared to 21 days this month. The daily average of calls was 757, with 4 billing representatives and 8 CSRs available for calls. The average calls per representative, per day would be 63. These statistics do not include walk-in customers, direct dialed calls to the representatives’ two phone lines or any internal calls or after hours and weekend calls. These call numbers do include any calls received at our main number that were transferred to the Cable, Electric and Water Departments.
