Approve Renewal of USA Network on Basic Cable:

Staff recommends that the Board renew USA Network on basic cable. This standard National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) Agreement has a term through December 31, 2008. The lower rate (.02) has been incorporated into the FY2007 budget.

This NCTC Agreement replaces the direct agreement between FPB/USA that expired in 2005. This brings our direct agreements down to two, TV Guide and Lifetime, with all other agreements being negotiated by the NCTC.

The Staff Attorney has reviewed the agreement and it meets with his approval.
