3. Informational Item – Departmental Reports:

For the Month of February, we had the following Electric, Water and Cable Outages.

Electric - There were 29 Electric Outages during the Month of February.

Water - There was 1 Water Outage during the Month of February.

Cable/Telecommunications - There were 7 Cable/Telecommunications Outages during the Month of February.

Water Treatment Plant - During the month of February, the Water Treatment Plant withdrew approximately 229 million gallons of raw water with an average daily withdrawal rate of 8.20 million gallons. During this same time frame last year, this system averaged 7.88 million gallons. The maximum daily demand occurred on February 5th with 9.54 mgd being produced on this date. Compliance with all Federal and State Water Quality Standards were maintained.

Safety - There were 0 OSHA Recordable Accidents during the month of February.

There were 2 vehicle accidents during the month of February.

  • An electric employee, who had parked a service truck at the Water Treatment Plant, ran over a hydrant as he pulled forward to leave. This resulted in moderate damage to the truck and the fire hydrant was relocated.

  • A support services employee, who was pulling a bucket truck into a bay, struck the overhead garage door with the boom. There was no damage to the truck and minor damage to the garage door.

Customer Service - During the Month of February, approximately 13,091 incoming calls were received on our main number 352-4372. This was 1,003 fewer calls received than last month which had 20 days of call reporting compared to 19 days this month. The daily average of calls was 689, with 4 billing representatives and 8 CSRs available for calls. The average calls per representative, per day would be 57. These statistics do not include walk-in customers, direct dialed calls to the representatives’ two phone lines or any internal calls or after hours and weekend calls. These call numbers do include any calls received at our main number that were transferred to the Cable, Electric and Water Departments.
