Approve Modified Interconnection Agreement between FPB and BellSouth:

Staff recommends that the Board approve the proposed BellSouth InterconnectionAgreement with FPB.  The proposed Interconnection Agreement has a five-year contract term that contains rates and regulations applicable to BellSouth services necessary to the provision of local telephone service for FPB customers.  BellSouth has requested that we modify our current Interconnection Agreement to reflect recent regulatory changes man-dated by the FCC and to remove the application of rate elements that are not Kentucky specific.  These changes do not impact the provision of service or cost of service to FPB. Based on Staff’s review of the proposed Interconnection Agreement, the rates contained in this Agreement have not changed from the previous Agreement.   The complete Agreement which is about 200 plus pages long was previously forwarded to the Board for their review.

The language of the Interconnection Agreement has been reviewed by the Staff Attorney who concurs in this recommendation.
