Approve Pollution and Remediation Legal Liability Policy:

Staff recommends that the Board approve liability insurance to cover pollution claims with  limits of $1,000,000 for a term of three (3) years and a premium of $32,205 with Indian Harbor Insurance Co.  Our agents with Wachovia Insurance contacted five companies and secured quotes from three that were interested.  Indian Harbor provides the best coverage for the lowest premium.   

This insurance is the only remaining type of coverage that the Board should obtain at this  time.  Our Workers’ Compensation premiums are $55,863.61 less than last year and this can  cover the premium for the new insurance coverage.
