Approve Amendment to Job Classification/Pay Compensation (JC/PC) Plan:

Staff recommends that the Board approve the following amendment to the Job Classification/Pay Compensation (JC/PC) Plan:

Reclassification of one within the Finance Department based on a revised position description. The position is vacant due to a recent retirement. Following a review of the job duties and requirements, the Department recommends changing the position title and classification/job description for the Payroll Coordinator/Accounts Payable Bookkeeper position. A revised job description and list of Authorized Positions is provided in the detail. The position will be responsible for additional accounting duties and will cross train and provide back-up to other positions in the Department.

The Compensation Committee recommends a change in Grade from 25 to 28. The starting pay rate for Grade 28 is $15.78 per hour. The replacement of the retiree with an entry level employee will result in a savings of approximately $10,000 annually.
