Approve Addition of Universal HD to HD Tier Line Up:

Staff recommends that the Board approve the addition of Universal HD to the HD Tier line up. This standard National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) agreement has a term through December 31, 2008. The license fee for the channel is shown on pages C-10/1-2. The fee is within budgeted parameters and will not result in any retail rate increase to the HD Tier.

Universal HD would be located on the HD Tier thereby requiring the customer to subscribe to digital cable, HD Basic and the HD tier in order to receive the programming. The programming includes HD content from NBC Universal programming including dramas, comedy, live sporting events and performance arts and entertainment.
