TELEPHONE MANAGER
Frankfort Plant Board (FPB) Cable/Telecom, the predominate cable/telecom provider in
Franklin
County
KY
, has a full-time opening in its Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) unit for a Telephone Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position will be the management of the CLEC relating to optimizing and retaining over 20,000 local and long distance, residential and commercial telephone customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in telecommunications or related field supplemented by five years directly related work experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity is required. Additional experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully complete drug screening and background check.
The starting salary is $55,120 annually. FPB offers an attractive benefit package including membership in the KY Retirement System.

PROGRAMMER
The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Programmer in our IT Department. This person will assist under general direction in designing, writing and testing documents and maintaining computer programs to meet the application needs of the users; performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science or related field; experience with web development using ASP.NET 2.0, C+ and Web Services, Object Oriented Programming and knowledge of SQL Reporting services. Additional programming work experience may be substituted, on a year-for-year basis, for a maximum of two years post-secondary education.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully complete drug screening and background check.

ENGINEER I
The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Engineer I, in our Electric Department. The primary focus for this position will be performing professional type engineering functions with respect to electric distribution and transmission systems; provides technical assistance to the public, Plant Board contractors, and other departments; performs work order design to include extension of both overhead and underground facilities; performs studies, modeling, SCADA, and meets with the public; performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required. No work experience required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be able to successfully complete drug screening, and background check.
